A: Power of Touch prides itself on providing the best of the best Massage Therapy in Jacksonville NC. To some that may sound sarcastic, to me it is just confidence. I strive to better myself as an Alternative Health Care Practitioner providing the most up-to-date and effective techniques, therefore, I far surpass the continued educational levels of most others in town. I offer a wide range of Massage Therapy to include Spa-like Massages such as Hot Stone Massages, as well as Certified Myokinesthetic Re-Education Treatments & Medical Based Massages, not to mention exclusive to Jacksonville. It is my goal to offer a place where someone can come and truly facilitate a positive change in their lifestyle, naturally.
Q: Why are your prices different than other places offering Massage Therapy in town?
A: I base my prices off of my years of commitment to the wonderful field of Massage Therapy, plus additional compensation for my continued education throughout my career as a Licensed Massage Therapist since August 2002. I have over 21 yrs. of experience in this field and over 5,000 hrs. of additional training. I feel it is important to keep the value of the field of Massage Therapy on high standards, so providing my services for exceptionally lower prices than the average national rate of less than $2.00 per minute, would only be demeaning our profession and is something I am not willing to do.
Q: What are the operating hours of Power of Touch?
A: Power of Touch offers reserved sessions Tuesday-Friday from 11:00am - 5:00pm (with late evening sessions available on Wednesdays & Thursdays) and currently Closed Saturdays, Sunday & Mondays. Please know all the services offered at Power of Touch are by Reserved Sessions Only! I am only in the office when I have reserved sessions with clients, so be sure to call before you just "stop by".
Q: How do I reserve a Session?
A: Please know all Sessions are by RESERVATION ONLY! There are a few ways you may reserve a session with me. You may reserve your session by calling me at (910) 355-BODY (2639) and leave a detailed message, or for the fastest response, feel free to send me a text to (910)-934-BODY (2639). You may also send an email request to [email protected], I will be sure to get back with you with in 48 business hours on email requests. Please be sure to inform me of a "requested" day/date, session time & session duration requested, that would work best for you, when leaving your requested message. This will allow me to search my schedule before contacting you. Note, I do tend to book 1-3 weeks out, so don't wait till the last minute when requesting a session.
Q: What do I need to do if I have a reserved session and I need to reschedule/cancel?
A: It is important to know I am very strict with my Session Policies due to the fact that I am compensated on a per session basis & my time reserved. When you reserve a session with me, you are making a commitment to your health and my time, therefore if you are unable to make your session it is crucial to notify me 48 hours (2 days) prior to your session start time, to avoid any charges. I charge a fee of $ THE FULL SESSION AMOUNT for any session CANCELLED WITH IN 48 hrs. (2 days) of your session start time, that I am unable to successfully refill with another client, no later than 24 hours of your reserved session start time. If you decide to CANCEL THE DAY OF or NO SHOW to your reserved session, you will automatically be charged for the ENTIRE SESSION AMOUNT, as per stated in the session policy agreement (if you reserved your session and your credit card is on file, it will be automatically billed for the FULL AMOUNT you reserved & this is something I CAN NOT reverse & you agree to these charges when reserving sessions at Power of Touch. If you reserved your session and no credit card is on file, you will be billed by email the FULL AMOUNT an invoice to be paid. If you reserved your session with a Pre-Paid Massage Session, the FULL AMOUNT of the service you had reserved will be DEDUCTED from the value of your Pre-Paid Massage Session). Giving a 48 hrs notice allows other clients that may be on a waiting list, to be notified of the availability, assuring that I can continue to offer my services and not have unproductive down time. These policies help keep my cost reasonably affordable for everyone and shows me the respect that I deserve. Assessing a cancellation fee due to Family Emergencies & Illnesses will be considered at my discretion. Please know, it is never my desire to charge clients for sessions they are unable to attend and I will do my best to rearrange the schedule to try to accommodate, however if unsuccessful a fee will be charged-it is HIGHLY encouraged if you are unable to attend your session, feel free to send a friend, family member or coworker in your place & Gift them the Gift that Makes the Difference-Massage!!
Q: What can I expect if I am a new client at Power of Touch?
A: A smiling face and a sense of relaxation is something you are sure to feel as you walk into Power of Touch. You will then be asked to fill out a Health History Intake form (be sure to disclose ALL medical conditions even if you think it won’t matter-it just might!), a Questionnaire and sign a Consent for Treatment form. Upon completion of your paperwork, we will enter the treatment room to discuss your health history and the desired outcome of your session. I will then explain the session I will be performing on you in detail, then depending on the service you have requested, I will leave the room to allow you to disrobe. Please know NC LAW REQUIRES FULL DRAPING OF ALL CLIENTS RECEIVING MASSAGE THERAPY, therefore nothing will ever be exposed that shouldn’t be! I will then re-enter the room and provide you with your desired session. Upon completion of your session, I will discuss any treatment plans for future sessions and personal self-care I may have for you to continue with your well-being at home. I will then leave the room and allow you to have a few moments to recollect yourself and get dressed if your session called for disrobing. Once your session is complete, you will walk back upfront to check out/payment and to pre-book your next session. You will then be sent home with a Wellness Bag with goodies and information about my Practice and all the services that I offer.
Q: How do I know if the Massage Therapist is licensed?
A: In the state of North Carolina anyone practicing and receiving payment for the service of Massage Therapy is required to obtain and maintain a valid NC License in Massage & Bodywork Therapy. In order to obtain licensure in this state, a practitioner must have completed a minimum of 500 hrs. of study in Massage Therapy, pass a Board Approved Exam and have good character references with no criminal record. All NC Licensed Massage Therapist must display their license to be seen visually in their place of practice. Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist must renew their license every 2 yrs., with the completion of a minimum of 24 hrs. State Board Approved Continued Education. Q: What form of payment is available?
A: I gladly accept cash, local checks, and Visa, Master Card, & Discover. I DO NOT accept Debit Cards or American Express. Please know there is a Return Check Fee of $35.00 on ALL Returned Checks. If you are interested in leaving a "tip/gratuity" , your are more then welcome & it is greatly appreciated, but please know it is never expected.
Q: Do you offer Gift Certificates?

However, I do not technically offer "gift certificates" per say, however I do offer "Pre-Paid Massage Sessions" for any service I offer, or in any dollar amount you choose to "gift" to that special someone. I offer a few ways for you to purchase this "gift", in hopes to make it as convenient as I possibly can. Please know, all "Pre-Paid Massage Sessions" are Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable and the session must be reserved at the time of purchase-with no exceptions. The receiver will have the option to reschedule the "Pre-Paid Massage Session" one time, providing their request does not fall with in the 48 hrs Session Cancellation Policies time frame, otherwise they may run the risk of being charged a cancellation fee, equal to the value of the "Pre-Paid Massage Session".
